About Big Bash Events
Big Bash Events was founded by Janet McLoughlin, a Boston-based event planner, designer, and stylist with many years experience in the field. We specialize in imagining designs others are unable to imagine and turning them into 3-dimensional life experiences. We approach every event with fresh creative ideas and then create design, décor and styling to express those ideas, from whimsical to opulent to elegant to fantastic.
Our clients include other event planners and our own private clients. We love working with non-profits and corporate clients, but we can also make any mitzvah magnificent! Each and every event we design (holiday events, galas, anniversaries, graduations, garden parties, birthday parties, fundraisers, and more) receives our unique touch and we will work with you to make your special event an unforgettable experience for your guests.
Our venues have ranged from Fenway Park to private backyards. We’ve designed a dress made of candy for a Bat Mitzvah and created kites of colorful florals for a Harvard graduation. We arranged one thousand red roses for a television anniversary gala/award ceremony and provided mannequins in yoga poses to greet guests at a yoga party.

Janet is a member of ILEA — the International Live Event Association (formerly ISES — the International Special Event Society). She was nominated twice for a Gala Award — the industry’s highest acknowledgment of excellence and creativity — for her tabletop designs. She is also a member of Meeting Professionals International.
